dance party bliss
Holy #*@! I’ve officially boarded the blogging bandwagon. It admittedly seems like such a cliche. Doesn’t everyone have a blog these days? I’ve always fancied myself a trend-setter, so what am I doing following the reported 20 million bloggers in the U.S.? And most importantly, what can I create or say that might stand out in a sea of compulsory information and noise?
As a fashion designer who grew up on horseback in Las Vegas, launched my contemporary women’s line in NYC, spends more hours than is probably healthy with my dog, loves to travel, gets giddy over a good meal, finds satisfaction in supporting independent artists, appreciates a scented bubble bath, and is always looking for the newest / best / coolest (insert noun), I’m hoping I might have something interesting to share.
To be honest, this endeavor is mostly selfish as my ultimate goal is to create a community of fellow rock stars who inspire others as much as they are inspired themselves. People who embrace challenge and devour life. People who know how to live in the moment, don’t take things too seriously, and forgive their imperfections. People who are witty, wacky and wise.
So, here’s how I see it working…I’ll cover an eclectic mix of topics and I’ll share with an honest voice – hoping to inspire you enough to reciprocate by contributing your own insights, tricks, and theories. In the end I’m betting that we’ll add some well deserved Dahlight (read “delight”) to the day.
Thanks for taking the leap with me!
Cheers, laura
