HMcard_STrip_VertHEATHER MORDECAI
Heather worked with me at Laura Dahl | Wifebeader for several years and having ridden the fashion industry roller-coaster together, we had no choice but to become very, very close.  Not that knowing Heather is in any way a bad thing.  She is incredibly talented, charmingly quirky, ridiculously hilarious, and simply delicious.

One of her many obscure talents is collage art, where she allows her whimsical, and sometimes disturbing, mind go wherever it fancies.  Heather’s collages can make any boring old thing most interesting.  Just envision how: t-shirts, bags, cake boxes, wrapping paper, socks, shower curtains, scarves (you name it) could go from drab to fab with a little of Heather’s vision.

To get a piece of Heather for yourself, you can purchase her greeting cards online at the Laura Dahl E-Shop and you may be able to talk her into a commissioned piece if you’re hankering for something totally original and perfectly unique.

I’ll leave you with a blurb about her greeting card company:

We at Enormous Wings do not believe in shoddy greetings. We disapprove of cards that contain drawings of flowers and quotes by geniuses, cards that feature dogs in      sunglasses or cats that sashay, cards that simper, cards that curdle, and cards that are dipped in flesh-burning sauce.  We at Enormous Wings have made it our mission to offer a greeting card alternative to the human race.

AARON MORSE
Aaron is a good friend of mine who’s work I love, obviously.  Several of his pieces hang in my home and I even commissioned him to do a large ocean piece with a cool pirate boat and huge golden flying fish.  He painted it on a metal screen which gives it an interestingly shear effect that can be manipulated by different colored walls and back lighting.  A very cool piece if I do say so myself.

A few places you can find his work
