There are lots of great uses for olive oil and your hair always responds well to 100% pure oil. Do some research on the oil and never buy any oil from the local grocery. Great treatment article, thanks!

Sarah, sometimes I just mix a little brown sugar with my shower cream and scrub all over. It's so simple and you don't need to prepare anything before getting into the shower. I do it every morning as a natural scrub and once a week I try adding some other ingredients to my scrub. So far my skin is moist and healthy. Olive oil can also be used internally, take a spoon of olive oil in the morning on an empty stomach. I know not many people can do it but for those who can it will make a big difference. I got this idea from an alcohol treatment post where an expert was sharing ideas on how to avoid most of the symptoms a person feels when going into withdrawal after quitting drinking. The oil is supposed to protect the stomach from all sort of chemical reactions that happen with the gastric acid.

OK, so I'm a little late to the game, but here's my favorite. Brown sugar, organic honey and a drizzle of lemon juice. Best body scrub. EVER. Stand in the tub, rub it into dry skin, rinse. It's sticky at first, for sure, but worth every second. Maybe not life-altering, but definitely skin altering. :-)

My great aunts taught me to mash an overripe avocado with olive oil and leave in my hair overnight (hair wrapped in a plastic bag.) It wont make for a good nights sleep, but your hair will thank you for it.

Also, I once asked a girl what she did to get her hair so long (it was past her bum). She mixed a raw egg & mayo deep treatment once a week. Haven't tried it...yet.
