Just because its summertime and I’ve always loved Pirates, I thought I would give a shout out to my favorite buccaneers of all time.

Swashbuckler What a testament to how far video games have come.  As antiquated as it now is, I logged hundreds of hours as a kid wielding my sword at creepy skeletons and lumbering monsters.

Captain Hook As scary as Peter Pan’s nemesis is, with his sidekick Smee he always succeeded in serving up some comic relief.

One-Eyed Willie Although we never got to meet him while he was “alive”, One-Eyed Willie is responsible for all the Goonies’ wild adventures.  Booby traps, magic organs, Mama Fratelli, Sloth, sloppy waterfall kisses, Baby Ruth bars, and the best scene entrance of all times – “Hey you guys!”  Thanks for the memories Willie.

Captain Jack Sparrow I’m flustered.  Can’t find my words.  Johnny officially wins all the loot in the treasure chest for creating the most brilliant, strange, gorgeous, flamboyant, and lovable pirate character of all time.  You can pillage me any time Captain Sparrow.
